Program Overview
Originally a live, CME-certified 90-minute ancillary symposium will be developed for the AUA 2017 meeting titled, A Multidisciplinary Approach to the Treatment of Prostate Cancer: Providing Therapies That Improve Overall Survival and Quality of Life. In order to extend the reach of the live program to include urologists who were not able to attend the AUA meeting or the symposium, a virtual symposium with audio and downloadable slides from the live program will be hosted for a period of one year on: www.lynxcme.com  and www.akhcme.com.

Target Audience
This activity is intended for urologists; medical, surgical, and radiation oncologists; and other healthcare professionals involved in treating patients with prostate cancer.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of the educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Incorporate validated, evidence-based guidelines on the management of patients with prostate cancer
  • Apply emerging clinical data on the management of patients with advanced, castrate-resistant prostate cancer
  • Integrate available technologies into clinical practice for early detection, disease typing, and disease monitoring
  • Integrate a multidisciplinary team approach with medical, surgical, and radiation oncologists into daily practice in treating patients with prostate cancer
